Jana Kramer bio
Jana Kramer, an actor and singer-songwriter who specializes in country pop music and songwriting, gained fame on television after she was cast as Alex in the third and final seasons on One Tree Hill. Her first few releases as a singer-songwriter were featured on episodes of the show that helped her debut album, titled "Eponymous," into the Top 20 of the Billboard 200. Thirty One, her follow-up album from 2015, reached in the Top Ten. In the last decade, she was a guest as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars as she did in TV films and several TV programs. She also released some singles which did not appear on albums. The self-doubting Voices came out in 2021. Jana Rae Kramer was born and was raised within Rochester Hills Michigan. She grew up listening to the country genre, and eventually went on to explore a career in recording. But, she began her acting career as a teenager in 2002's indie horror movie Dead/Undead. In the past she was on numerous shows, including All My Children and CSI: NY before landing the recurring role of Noelle Davenport in NBC's Friday Night Lights' Second season (2007-2008). Kramer was later cast to appear as Portia Ranson on 90210 (2008-2009) as well as Brooke Manning, in Entourage (2009) prior to when she was cast in One Tree Hill by the CW as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained with the One Tree Hill team until half way through its finale season (2012). Jana Kramer Kramer was a star of One Tree Hill from 2009 through the year 2012. Kramer had signed an agreement in 2009 with Elektra Records, and she introduced her new contemporary country song I Won't Give up on the One Tree Hill 2011 episode. This track appeared later on the debut full-length album of Jana Kramer in the mid-2012 timeframe. Billboard Top Country Albums ranked it in the Top Five. Then, she concentrated her acting career around film and music. She starred in several films including Heart of the Country 2013 along with Country Crush 2016, which was a hit with her fans. The second album of Kramer's Thirty One was released by Warner Music Nashville on October 15, 2015. Thanks to the Top Five country hit I Got the Boy as well as a duet together with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it fared even better reaching number 3 on the national albums chart and number ten in the Billboard 200. The album was released after a period of two months during 23rd Dancing with the Stars season her final score was 4th. She also scored a hit for adult contemporary by singing the track Feels Like Christmas, featuring Straight No Chaser.
