Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on June 13th 1986 in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania was the firstborn child of Gerald and Ellen Dennings. Her mother, Ellen is a poet and speech therapist while her father, Gerald, was a molecular pharmacologist as well as a professor at a college. Dennings was born into the home of a Jewish family as the youngest of children. Dennings was not a student at an established school for very long and instead was homeschooled. The decision to go homeschooled was made because she hoped to become an actress from a very young age. Her ability to complete her high school studies at fourteen years old. The actress had begun her performing in commercials by the age of 9. Her family relocated in Los Angeles after she graduated high school in order for her to take up acting. Kat Dennings began her auditions under this name. Kat Dennings first made an appearance in HBO's "Sex and the City", in 2000, after moving to LA. After that, Dennings starred in WB's sitcom "Sex and the City".
